Patient Portal Invitation/Enrollment Process & Multiple Locations

Solution:

  1. Email received by the patient (the Subject and verbiage is customizable)

  2. Upon clicking ‘Enroll’, patient is brought to the below screen if they have a phone number on file (NOTE – Opera should detect any/all phone numbers from the patient profile)

    1. If the patient does not have any number on file, they are directed to call the office to obtain their username/password.

    2. The office user should pull up the patient in OperaDDS | Base Info tab, and click Generate Username

  3. Clicking Send will send the patient a verification code to the mobile number on file

    1. If the patient is enrolling for the 1st time, they should click New User

    2. The Existing User option would be if the patient is going through the process more for a password reset.

  4. Upon entering the verification code (that was received via text), the user creates their password

Multiple Locations

OperaDDS offers the ability for a patient to control their patient portal account at multiple offices

When an invitation to enroll is delivered to a patient, they are asked if they already have an existing OperaDDS patient portal account. 

If yes - user must provide their username and password including the security code received in the SMS verification
  1. if the user successfully authenticates, they then control the patient account in each office under one user account.
  2. The user may toggle locations by selecting the office name at the top after logging in. 

Another scenario also handled by OperaDDS is that when an office creates a secure case in CASES for a patient and sends the case to another company, the user attached to the case will exist as one patient in both office accounts.
